Danilan Woodwork

Handmade Woodwork Crafts

Handmade woodwork pieces made from locally sourced New Hampshire wood. I take pride in using materials like maple, beech, birch, and oak from my property or from friends. For larger projects, I purchase wood from local sawmills and occasionally use exotic woods to accent the local ones.

My inspiration comes from the beauty of wood grain and the variety of colors and textures. Witnessing these come to life in a piece after sanding and applying a finish brings me joy. My family, especially my grandchildren, inspire me to create pieces that delight them. I work in a small workshop using power tools such as a table saw, jointer, planer, sanding machines, and a wood lathe, along with hand tools like planes, chisels, japanese saws, scrapers, and plenty of clamps.
